In November of 2022, our beautiful daughter celebrated her wedding at a stunning nearby venue. Living about an hour away in Houston and hoping to avoid long commutes, we searched to find a vacation home that could accommodate our large family during the days leading up to the wedding. Unfortunately, there were no suitable options nearby and our only choice was a hotel about 25 minutes away. Just days before the wedding, we discovered this lovely home within walking distance of a local venue. If we could have stayed in this beautiful home as we prepared for such a special occasion for our family, it would have been even more perfect. We were blessed with the opportunity to become owners of this 11-acre property shortly after. We envisioned this lovely home to be an ideal setting for staging, rehearsal dinners, a place where the bridal party and/or family can relax and unwind in the days leading up to the big event, and finally a private pre-honeymoon mini-vacation spot where newlyweds can explore the beauty and serenity that Country Living has to offer.

By opening our doors to others, we hope to provide a haven that allows people to focus on their celebrations, enjoy the company of loved ones, and make the most of their special time without the added worry or stress of travel logistics. We believe Dobbin Country House will provide the perfect home away from home for your “Big Day”.
